RN to BSN Requirements in New Hampshire

RN Licensure: Online RN to BSN degrees are classified as “post-licensure” programs. New Hampshire universities will expect you to have—or be in the process of earning—an RN license. Still waiting to take the NCLEX exam? Some schools will grant you conditional acceptance and allow you to start taking RN to BSN courses as long as you provide proof of RN licensure within a specific time-frame (e.g. by the end of the first semester). Ask the RN to BSN program coordinator if this is possible.

  • Questions about state RN licensure? The New Hampshire Board of Nursing can help.
  • The Board also posts regular New Hampshire NCLEX Reports with recent pass rates for NH universities. These statistics don’t apply to post-licensure programs, but they’re always a useful quality marker. Avoid any school with consistently low numbers.

State Authorization: Do you live outside of New Hampshire? Just double-check that you’re eligible to apply. Because of state authorization rules, some New Hampshire universities cannot accept Online RN to BSN candidates from certain areas. For example:

  • UNH’s 100% Online RN to BSN is only available in certain states.
  • Rivier’s 100% Online RN to BSN is open to RNs in all states except California.
